Reading Suggestions: Berkowitz on Left/Right Diversity; Mercredi on Israel as Model; Climate Change Scientist Comes Clean

Back from a nice Memorial Day weekend in the good old USofA, with just enough time to recommend a few good reads.

Peter Berkowitz of Stanford’s Hoover Institution demonstrates that diversity of opinion and true debate lies firmly on the right in America today.

Renowned native Canadian leader Ovide Mercredi visits Israel, and sees the Jewish state as a positive role model for his people.

A Climate Change scientist comes clean with the truth of the crumbling case for man-made global warming. (h/t reader Mario).

  1. Good list, especially after this weeks madness, the “day of Protest”Sheehan, Air Canada “Carbon Offsets, Friends of the Earth Kyoto lawsuit, sheesh

  2. spark

It’s a little odd that your newest, most favouritest “skeptic” just HAPPENS to repeat, almost verbatim, the talking points and conclusions of UK’s Ch. 4 ‘The Great Global Warming Swindle’, first broadcast in the UK on March 8, 2007, don’t you think? (http://www.climateofdenial.net/?q=node/3)

I certainly don’t, since originality is not the strong suit of the right, but nobody’s asking me.

An oh-so-kewl docu/edu-tainment programme “inspiring” some obscure mathematician’s screed (and scoring some wing-nut welfare while at it, no doubt) is an awfully lame indictment against the “crumbling case for man-made global warming”, guy. But then, misrepresentations and plagiarism is all your side really has in the end.

  3. Spark: I like to be challenged on facts and logic, but you just spew talking points and anger. I don’t blog to waste time arguing with ideologically blinded, miserable bores, so head back to Babble and commiserate with your like-minded comrades.
