Garth Turner in Question Period, February 7, 2007: “Please Mr. PM, may I have your permission to resign.”

Here is Garth Turner’s bizarre appearance in Question Period today. First, he relishes in his own applause. Then, he asks for the PM to call a by-election for his seat, which of course is impossible because the seat is not vacant. Van Loan gets in a couple of good barbs. Then, tacked on to the end of the video is a Conservative MP apologizing for making a rude gesture to Turner.

I won’t bother adding to the already substantial commentary on Turner. I just regret having taken him seriously for so long.
