Religion provides exactly the opposite. It's funny how you mix all atheists and non-believers in one big "god-rejecting-people-hating" bunch. You equate disbelief with the French Revolution, when you should also consider the fact that most wars and struggles created in this earth have a religious drive. You don't need faith to lack a belief. A lack of belief is the opposite of faith. Faith is belief without evidence. Lack of belief is... well... the norm for when there is no proof.
